Benefits of Journaling ~

Benefits of Journaling ~

Journaling can help one to become clear and present. It helps to diffuse negative or strong emotions. It allows one to become more grounded and promotes forwarding thinking.
We become less clouded and our thoughts to be clear. It encourages mindfulness and inner peace.
The act of writing accesses our left side of the brain that is analytical and rational which enables our right side to create and feel more.
It's so important to be aware of our self-talk and make the conscious decision to love and accept ourselves.
Journaling in the morning or evening is an act of self-love.
When we journal we surrender and centre, opening up space for new possibilities, beginnings and adventures.
Journaling can set the mood for the day, write down a gratitude list, positive affirmations, and personal goals!
With social media and daily life stressed depleting our energy, it's healthy to switch off for a while!
Journaling can be a morning ritual or before bed.
There are so many scientifically proven benefits of journaling!

Benefits of Journaling (to name a few!)
~ release stress and anxiety
~ boosts memory
~ improves communication skills
~ sparks creativity
~ evokes mindfulness
~ removes mental blocks and stagnant energy
~ helps us to understand ourselves and the beautiful world around us

So what do I write about I hear you ask?
A common question a budding journal writer might contemplate.
The mind is a surprising place, and often we don’t know what it may be hiding until we start knocking around in there.
Only when we put pen to paper, do we self-reflect and discover what we should be journaling.

Will it change my life?
They say successful people keep a journal.
Journaling is one of the most useful and cost-effective tools to forge a healthier life both emotionally and mentally.

Why reflect?
To better understand ourselves and improve emotional intelligence.
We find our passion and what we love to do at different stages in our lives; some find it earlier than others.
It doesn't mean we don't have a choice to change direction. It's never too late.
All we need to do is believe and trust ourselves - let go of fear and self-doubt.
Now more than ever, we are a society of people doing what we love and following our passion(s) and believing in our dream(s).
There will always be people who will doubt your dream. They will try to tear you down or inject unnecessary fear.
And more often than not, it is merely a projection of their fear.
Perhaps they want to change direction themselves - however, they don't dare to do something different.
We become stagnant and stuck in routine and fear change.
Routine is important, but not when we are living a life unfulfilled. Before we decide to change direction, it's helpful to ensure a safe space. Sometimes it may not be the right time. Intuition is your best friend. You will know when you are ready to move - if need be.
Sometimes it's not that we need to let go of fear rather accept it. Once we acknowledge that we'll experience some degree of fear - it no longer has power over us.
This is where journaling can help to put things into perspective! Expressive writing and journaling can help to alleviate stress and anxiety during these uncertain times ~ it evokes mindfulness ~ shifts our focus from fear to love ~ positivity ~ helps us to get clear on our goals and bring a vision to life ~ promotes and enhances creativity, and intuition ~ captures your life story~
We are the creator of our lives - our thoughts manifest our reality.

We journal to release our thoughts and let go. To restore our energy, replenish the soul, and cleanse our mind ~

How do you achieve balance in your life?
We are in a time with information overload; achieving and maintaining a sense of peace can be challenging at times.
It’s easy to forget to disconnect from the ‘external’ and spend time working ‘internally’.

It’s inevitable at some stage in our lives that we will come across negative people or situations. To better deal with such experiences, it helps t be mindful and choose kindness over retaliation.
A negative response is both pointless and unproductive.
Journaling helps to diffuse negative energy and the hold it may have over us.
A New Year is upon us.  A time to reflect, a time for renewal out with the old and in with the new!
Journaling allows us to delve into our Hearts and channel our energy towards our dreams and hearts desires.
A space to set your intentions and write down your personal goals for the New Year!
May 2021 bring you love, happiness, and adventure.

From my Heart to Yours,
